new "oc" workshop, with your host nate abrams

today i finally got to work on the skirt around the new perch for charlie. this was the first time i got to use my new dremel. i cut up some quarter inch mdf boards and half by 2inch pine for support in the corners. i used butt joints and assembled it on the perch then stapled it into the base--it will never come off. the dremel cut impressively through both the pine and mdf, i should invest in some clamps to secure the guide rail (as vise-grips work only marginally and bite up the wood)

i am really pleased with the results, and now the dog will not spread cedar chips around the house. woo hoo.
